第12輪疫苗第1階段開放BNT疫苗第1劑、AZ及莫德納疫苗第2劑，22日起施打，而部分已接種第一劑BNT的民眾，原本認為副作用小，陸續出現發燒等狀況，引發討論。其實指揮中心曾公布接種COVID-19疫苗後一般副作用出現頻率表，包括頭痛、發燒、肌肉痛都極常見。

演出三立8點檔《天之驕女》、《金家好媳婦》等戲劇的女星梁家榕，在打完第一劑BNT疫苗後透露，出現的反應「超乎想像」，她表示，以為自己年紀應該不會太嚴重，但是打完4小時後，就整顆頭爆痛，第二天還反胃輕微腹瀉，身體酸痛、輕微發燒通通中獎，吃止痛藥才緩解。好奇詢問，「聽說少數人才會嚴重頭痛，真是這樣嗎？」

其實指揮中心曾公布接種COVID-19疫苗第三期臨床試驗結果資料，接種BNT疫苗副作用，注射部位疼痛84.1％、疲倦62.9％、頭痛55.1％、肌肉痛38.3％、畏寒31.9％、關節痛23.6％、發燒14.2％，以上副作用，通常症狀輕微並會在數天內消失。其中年長者發生頻率低於年輕人，mRNA疫苗（如BNT／輝瑞和莫德納疫苗）之第二劑，副作用發生頻率高於第一劑。
